"ALL VIBRATING SCREENS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL"
Action's TAPER-SLOT® Screen is commonly utilized for the continuous classification of bulky materials that are discarded worldwide by households, trade, and industry. Due to the unpredictable nature of this waste stream, the TAPER-SLOT® Screen performs where other screens fail. The rugged TAPER-SLOT® Screen is the preferred alternate to inherently problematic screens such as: Finger Screens, perforated screens, wire mesh screens, disc screens, and rotary trommels.

UNLIKE CONVENTIONAL FINGER SCREENS, the highly efficient TAPER-SLOT® Screen, with patented lateral wedge members, offers the following benefits for superior screening performance:
HANG-UP ELIMINATION
Lateral wedge deflectors prevent material from shifting laterally and catching under or wrapping around finger tips, thus allowing the screen to remain clean for maximum screening efficiency. This design effectively reduces unwanted stoppages and downtime since material can not catch under finger tips.
ACCURATE SIZING
Lateral wedge deflectors prevent longer, often oversized materials from shifting sideways under a finger tip and falling into the accepts.
STRONG & RIGID
Lateral wedge deflectors prevent undesirable "finger-bending" and function as gussets under each finger to provide the ultimate in rigidity for greater durability.

TAPER-SLOT® Screen Advantages
- Screen multiple sizes per unit
- High throughput performance
- No airborne particles and less blinding
- No hard to re-set disc screen chain drives
- Easy to install, maintain, and operate
- Simple design - Screen sections are interchangeable and modular
- More accurate sizing than finger screens, disc screens or trommels, no high wear rotating discs that pull oversize pieces into the accepts
- Does not "fluff" or increase material volumes of lightweight materials such as paper
- No wrapping around discs, jamming, worn gears, chains, or sprockets
- Integral load plate for direct loading with a loader, excavator, or grapple
- Safe - no rotating and dangerous perforated cylinders with plugged apertures
- Balanced and isolated design eliminates the need for expensive foundations
- Minimum maintenance, horsepower, operating, and investment costs (eliminates belt conveyors)
- Divergent and staggered fingers - Screen openings increase in width to allow particles to self-relieve
- Helps to distribute material flow to downstream equipment such as a sort line or grinder for maximum efficiency
