CONTOUR COMPOSITE SPRING DESIGN
FUNCTIONAL GEOMETRY WITH REAL WORLD BENEFITS
The advanced Contour Composite Spring is an alternate to coil springs and constant thickness plastic springs (commonly referred to as slats). The specially Contoured Spring (thicker on the ends and thinner in the middle) is based on patented constant stress geometry to evenly distribute load along its entire length virtually eliminating failures due to high stress concentrations at each clamp bar edge.
The design capabilities of the Contour Composite Spring have been evaluated and confirmed with finite element analysis, micro mechanics and real world operation. The Contour Composite Spring is capable of operating at higher strokes and cycles than all other competitive makes.
